Family Look: Monday Blues

EN: First week of quarantine just came to an end. To be honest we kept ourselves very busy at home. It took us 2 days to clean the house and wash everything needed washing.

From Monday to Friday we tackled home schooling. Which wasn't easy but we came out of it alive! We are also trying to fill the rest of the day with some fun things to do. Today we were decorating Katerina's Easter Bag, and few days ago we created our first DressUpFriday video. If you missed it, please watch it on my Instagram page ( @galinathomas ).

The struggle comes when I look outside. The weather is absolutely perfect and the whole country is in bloom. It's really tempting to dress up in matching clothes with Katerina and go for a stroll but we have to substitute this idea to dressing up at home for now.

Family Look: Langham Afternoon Tea

EN: Half Term holiday nearly came to an end. We had our ups and down but I hope Katerina had fabulous time. We've started her holiday with a real treat - Children Afternoon Tea with Daunt Books at the Langham Hotel, London. 

"We have a partnered with Daunt Books, meaning little literary lovers can select their own new book from a specially curated library before they embark on tasty treats. Specially conceived for creative young minds, our tea is interactive; the first course is made up of savoury jigsaw puzzle sandwiches. This is swiftly followed by some mouth-watering sweet treats.

Needless to say, adult companions are well catered for too; they can enjoy The Langham’s contemporary take on afternoon tea, SeasonaliTea, which uses the finest ingredients to create the tastiest savouries and most delicious patisserie, and is served with an award-winning tea service.

Children’s Afternoon Tea with Daunt Books is available every day from 12:00 noon until 5:30 pm and costs £29.50 per child, while adults’ afternoon tea costs £62.00 per person."

 It's a fantastic way to enjoy your family time. To be honest, it nearly brings tears to my eyes to see how much Katerina gets excited when it comes to choosing a new book to read. We were lucky enough to attend Langham's afternoon tea accompanied with Author reading his new book AND drawing illustrations from his recent book. It's an amazing experience! Keep an eye open, Langham normally runs 'reading with an Author' on the first day of school holidays. But of course you can enjoy children afternoon tea all year around :)

It's also pretty amazing to have a chance to dress up with your child. Today Katerina is wearing wallies and waterproof coat to explore our Botanical Garden, but on Monday she was a true Princess wearing the most exquisite dress by Eirine. Oh you should've seen Katerina's face when she saw it for the first time! RAINBOW! It's defiantly really colourful and the colours are really reach and deep, so perfect for autumn and winter moths <3

Family Look : Lion King

EN: We have come a long way :) Eight years ago I moved to the UK and for the first year me and Gareth were exploring every corner of this beautiful island. The very first show we went to watch together in London was 'The Lion King'. 'Woooooow' I was screaming inside my head, looking at Gareth and enjoying the moment.

I realised that these moments are so precious because I have him to share them with. This is exactly how I want to carry on with my life, sharing and seizing moments with my loved ones.

It was one of my dreams to watch The Lion King with my child. I wanted to see my child's smile and eyes full of pure joy. And I'm grateful that everything came to life just the way I imagined and wished for. To be honest, it got even better! I took my Mum and Katerina to watch the show with me. I felt so privileged to watch the show with my two precious ladies.

The next wish on my list is 'quality time'. It's hard to take the whole day off work, switch off from emails, not answer calls and to just be fully present in the moment. It's a true luxury nowadays. I am still working on it but it would be my ultimate happiness to wake up late, have breakfast together, dress to impress, brush my hair, put some makeup on, drive to a stunning hotel for an early afternoon tea, chat over a cup of tea, walk through the city to the concert venue and simply enjoy each others company.

By the way, how do you like our effort on 'dress to impress'? Katerina is wearing an extremely pretty dress by CHILDREN SALON  and golden pumps by Children's Classic. I want Katerina to believe that there are some moments in life when you need to make an effort. The theatre, a classical music concert and ballet are part of our life but not an every day routine. We should embrace and fully enjoy the experience <3
