Look of the Day: New Beginnings

EN: My heart just started beating a bit faster. It feels final now, I said 'goodbye' but it isn't feeling any easier. I need to detach my feelings and step out of my comfort zone. I opened and updated my CV for the first time in years and filled in the first job application. I don't know yet what my journey is going to be but I'm feeling positive (a bit sad, but positive).

I'm constantly checking weather forecast, trying to fit things in before cold autumn approaches. Despite having a wonderful warm spring and summer it just never lasts long enough. I'm trying to grab the last rays of sunshine. I never felt so desperate because I always knew we would go somewhere warm in October or November. But this year is different, we all know it.

Enough of nostalgia let's talk fashion. Looking back on these photos, I smile. That day was filled with good food! All 3 of us enjoyed Russian cuisine and cosy atmosphere in one of the best restaurants in Knightsbridge.
I wore a shirt dress, my new obsession. Love by Iris fits so well with my style and I couldn't choose what dress to order next. My choice fell on this gorgeous cotton dress in pastel colours, everything is perfect about it, the midi length of the skirt, 3/4 sleeves, design, style, fabric mmm It's just pure joy to wear it. And my new Jimmy Choos blended in very well, pastel mint colour looks so great with lilac!

Look of the day: Gold Flowers

dress - Chicwish / bag - Chanel / shoes - Jimmy Choo

EN: I don't know when this post would be able to go live, but right now I'm sitting and thinking that I might loose my job.

UPD: I did loose my job.

All the way through the pandemic I felt very secure about my future with the company and just a week ago we were hit with the news that some John Lewis stores won't re-open. And mine might be one of them. I'm going to work tomorrow to find out what the future holds. I obviously can't share any information until it's available to the public, so if you are reading it than the news hit the media.

Whichever way it goes I am grateful for working there for nearly 3 years as a selling partner. I'm grateful for the people I met, knowledge I gained, all the benefits and perks of the job. I've thought about my role during furlough and it brought a smile to my face so many times. And right now I'm just sitting and wondering if we ever open the doors to the customers again.

One thing I know for sure, this blog helped me a lot during the hardest times. So if I do or don't have a job tomorrow I'll carry on to invest in my mini on-line diary.

Photos were taking a week earlier when I was carefree and happy, thinking that I'm owning it and the future is bright.

Look of the Day: Michelin House

Dress - CHICWISH / Bag - Chanel / Shoes - Jimmy Choo

EN: A thousand compliments to this dress! How cool does it look?! On the website it says it's a dress so I wear it as a dress but it looks amazing like a trench coat too! Very versatile and quirky.

I wore it for lunch in the iconic Michelin House, Bibendum. I love how they transformed the ground floor to an oyster bar, very relaxed atmosphere, same great service, high quality food and reasonable prices. You can pop in there for coffee, breakfast or lunch. To be honest I actually chose this spot for lunch because of the flower shop integrated inside the oyster bar. Isn't it a dream setting, coffee, desserts and flowers?

Wouldn't recommend taking photos at the flower shop though :) The least friendly owner I've ever met. I'm still very shy taking photographs in public so I tried to time my lunch towards the late afternoon, when most of the customers have left. I don't like being in people's way or making them feel uncomfortable with my professional camera and posing. But still the owner of the flower shop showed his best that we are not welcome taking photos next to his flowers. Ironically every other bouquet had a tag saying 'please tag us in your photos @XXX'. Sorry, not sorry. Defo not tagging you in any photos (not that he cares) but a big shout out to wonderful staff at the Oyster Bar and compliments to the chef. We are coming back for the best Tsar Cut Smoked Salmon in town xxx

Look of the Day: Ritz

Top - CHICWSH / Trousers - Asos / Shoes - Jimmy Choo / Bag - Chanel

EN: Are you pro or against a dress code? I'm actually supporting the idea of the dress code but sometimes we get caught up in it as well.

Everytime dress code comes up, I think about a situation in Florence. Me and Gareth were celebrating our wedding anniversary in a Michelin Star Restaurant situated in The Four Seasons Hotel. Me and Gareth were obviously dressed very smart, but there were families dressed in shorts, flip flops, wearing baseball hats ... Errrrrmmm I was really confused and I believed they shouldn't be allowed in the restaurant even if they are staying in the hotel. It was just absurd.

Anyway, the other day Gareth couldn't go inside the Ritz because he was wearing trainers. Not sport trainers, but smart trainers by Ralph Lauren. To be honest, Ritz staff was very polite and they even offered him to change shoes! This service is FREE, you just need to leave 20 pounds deposit and they provide you with appropriate smart shoes. We never have cash on us, so it didn't work in our case. But still good to know for the next time we visit. So we've left the Ritz without ANY hard feelings and just walked across to The Wolseley where we had a great time in each others company.

Enough talking about the dress code :) Check out my new crochet top from Chicwish. Love the details and the colour! For some reason recently I wore less skirts and switched to trousers/ culottes ... but I believe I still make it look very feminine :)

Look of the day: Ice Cream

Dress - CHICWISH / Shoes - Jimmy Choo / Bag - Chanel / Hairband - Asos

EN: Some days are just truly magical. I've got to admit, sometimes I wish blog was my full time job. Because it looks like I'm very enthusiastic to wake up at 6 am, finish at 11 pm, select and retouch photographs till my eyes close, write till my fingers can't type anymore ...

So here's is one of those special days. We travelled down to London for a day, enjoyed the breakfast at the Chiltern Fire House. Oh, the french toast with peaches and cinnamon was pure heaven! Followed by the visit to The Wallace Collection and Manolo Blahnik exhibition, stroll through Marylebone and Fitzrovia and a coffee with a view.

My outfit was a perfect reflection of my joyful and dreamy day! This dress from chicwish couldn't be any cuter!  Fabric has a gorgeous interesting pattern and it has sheer ribbons instead of the regular strips. Love love love

LOOK OF THE DAY: Dress like a Mum

Dress - CHICWISH / Bag - Chanel / Shoes - Jimmy Choo

EN: Watch me turning up to Katerina's school wearing high heels and red lipstick ;)
Obviously I'm not going to do it every time I pick my child up from school, but I'm Mama who can do both! I mean dresses and hoodies.

By the way I find myself extremely feminine and fierce wearing midi dresses, so here's one more dress to my collection! I love the buttons going all the way down and the extraordinary flower print of this dress.

Look of the Day: Perfect Summer Dress

Dress - CHICWISH / Shoes - Jimmy Choo / Bag - Florian London

EN: I've just found the most perfect summer dress. Blue is my new obsession anyway, but the fabric, cut and design of this dress are an absolute perfection.

I wore this Chicwish dress to travel to Bicester Village, the designer outlet. I can't emphasis enough how fabulous I felt wearing this dress and it really helped me to stay in a great mood all day.
